We need your help. Kent State University, the Ohio Historical Society and the Ohio Humanities Council are collecting data about internships at local historical organizations, libraries, archives, and museums as part of an IMLS planning grant (IMLS = Institute for Museums and Library Services).
The purpose of the planning grant is to create and test a framework for a statewide internship program for students in history, public history, library science and other related fields. The partners are collecting data from staff and volunteers at local historical organizations and museums, students (graduate and undergraduate), recent grads, staff at libraries and archives, and faculty at Ohio colleges and universities.
Please take 5-10 minutes to fill out the Building Connections survey. This survey will help the planning committee to put together a pilot program for finding, training, and placing interns that will be to the mutual benefit of the students, the hosting organization, and the academic institution.
