The Ohio Local History Alliance ("the Alliance" for short) was formerly known as the Ohio Association of Historical Societies & Museums. It was organized in 1960 under sponsorship of the Ohio Historical Society and is a network of local historical societies, history museums, archives, libraries, genealogical societies and historic preservation groups throughout Ohio involved in collecting, preserving and interpreting Ohio's history.
