Connecting to Collections Survey -- There's Still Time (But It's Winding Down)

Attention, local history museums, historic houses, and local historical societies!  To help you in the future, we need your help today.  Please complete the Ohio Connecting to Collections Survey, a vital component of the Ohio Heritage Partnership.

The survey was distributed electronically on January 26.  The original deadline for returning it was March 1.  Our new deadline is March 19.  The partnership's partners, the Ohio Historical Society and the State Library of Ohio, need to know what kinds of artifacts and archival materials you care for and--more importantly--the challenges you face in preserving them.

Individual responses to the survey will be kept anonymous, but they are important!  Your answers and those from hundreds of others from museums, archives, libraries, local historical societies, and county records managers will help the Ohio Heritage Partnership identify the needs of and challenges faced by Ohio's "collecting institutions" as they care for our communities' and state's cultural inheritance. 

Armed with the results of the Connection to Collection Survey, our goal is to obtain federal grant funding to help you meet those needs.  Only you can tell us what those needs are.
